Christmas Breeze: Day 2

Good morning! Today is a sea day. I’m heading to the Java Blue for coffee then I’m going to check out the Christmas decorations around the ship. Here is a look at today’s Fun Times.

We’re already getting a look at the casino decorations along the way.

The coffee line isn’t bad.

I just got an Americano.

This is at the non-smoking casino downstairs. This casino didn’t exist when I was last on this ship in 2018. There was a Thrill Theater down here which I liked. We had a rainy sea day on that cruise and I used the Thrill Theater.

Let’s take a look outside.

This isn’t good.

Another “boring” coffee as the barista calls it.

Carnival recently banned blue tooth speakers. I had one that I liked to use in the bathroom while my phone was on the charger. My 10-foot cable solves that problem.

After showering and changing I headed to the casino bar for screwdrivers before breakfast.

I’m going on about 30 minutes waiting on a brunch table that was listed as “less than a 10 minute wait.”

This is about to happen in Ocean Plaza.

This is our current location.

Here is a look at the Wifi situation. I have the premium Wifi plan. The download is good. I’ve been streaming YouTube all morning. I’ve also been uploading a 1 minute tree lighting video since last night. The upload is not so good.

It was about a 35 minute wait for a table. Then another 15 minutes to get my order taken.

The wait has been so long the ice in my glass melted.

This is a different bowl for the flaming tomato soup. It used to come out in that big bowl and it had a crouton.

Egg white vegetable omelette and brunch potatoes. I like that they put the potatoes in a separate dish. On Horizon they were throwing everything on the same plate.

They have a sign at the coffee shop that you can also get coffee at the deck 4 casino bar.

I’m going to check out the Serenity deck.

I grabbed a Shiner to check out the Lone Star Tailgate. Shiner is one of the good things about cruising out of Galveston.

Now they have a halftime show featuring the Playlist cast.

Now we’re getting ready for ice carving.

The Guy’s Burger line is almost as bad as it was yesterday.

I got a ringer and fries.

Then I headed over to the Red Frog Rum Bar for Red’s Rum Treasure.

I stopped pixels for my platinum gift and bought an ornament from the gift shop. I have one from 2018 but it’s the old paint scheme.

Let’s take a look out on the “secret deck.”

The Alchemy Bar is open.

This is a filthy Grey Goose martini from Nelson.

I’m trying one of those pink ones next.

They’re using a special dragon fruit infused Grey Goose to make those pink drinks.

I asked for a coconut drink this time so I know this one has Malibu in it.

Niiiikolaaaa!

I noticed they moved those candy canes up where the kids can’t reach them. They were really low yesterday.

For whatever reason I had a taste for coffee before dinner. I head to the coffee shop and it’s just Kenette now. She’s been making coffee since 6am.

I requested cranberry bread.

I made it out of dinner in time for the Captain’s Welcome.

After comedy I headed to the atrium for Tis the Season. I got a dirty martini.

I’ve been on four of these Christmas themed cruises and this is the first time I was able to get a hat.
