Encore: Day 7
Good morning. We are supposed to be in Great Stirrup Cay today but I just woke up to an announcement that the port has been cancelled due to unsafe tendering conditions.
Here is today’s Freestyle Daily. They are supposed to be updating it.
We have a changeup on the pastry in the studio lounge. It looks either a lemon or peach has entered into the mix.
I went with a latte again.
The casino bar is probably the closest they have to a sports bar. Though I did find there’s a back area at District Brewhouse with a TV.
Conditions look favorable at Savor
I ended up at Taste because Savor had a long line and Taste had none. I had to wait about five minutes but only because they were making sure they had a window seat for me even though I didn’t request one.

After breakfast I grabbed an Irish coffee.
Then a spicy bloody mary.
The steward was working on my room so I’m sitting in the lounge for a few. I still need to get the name of the guy that works down here. He does an excellent job. They don’t have breakfast food in the lounge on debarkation day but one lady is very intent on not going anywhere for breakfast.
She’s asking him if she can bring milk and butter today for him to keep for her breakfast tomorrow. This clearly isn’t anything he normally does. Imagine if he started doing that for 100 people. She kept pushing and finally he said he will have milk and butter for her tomorrow.
I headed down to the atrium for the cupcake demonstration. They are passing out brownies.
I got a double Grey Goose screwdriver.
They picked a kid to participate in the demonstration.
Next up is Cha Cha dance lessons.
Then crowd trivia.
The various groups have buzzers down there.
I’ve been sitting here talking to a couple I met from Atlanta the other day. They are getting lunch here. The guy ordered wings extra crispy. They look better than the ones I got the other night.
I’m going to check out the lunch situation in the dining room. Next up in the atrium is an Arts & Crafts class.
It looks wide open.
I stopped by the brewhouse for some lunch drinks.
I got a table in Taste again.
It looks like the same menu from the first sea day. I missed lunch yesterday. I’m pretty sure they have two rotating lunch menus.

I got a Mango Magic from the Spice bar.
I headed upstairs and watched the go carts for a little bit.
Let’s check out the waterfront starting at the back.
I believe that is the Manhattan dining room down there.
They have a wine tasting going on at The Cellars Wine Bar.
I stopped by Sugarcane Mojito bar and got the Coconut Pineapple Mojito.
Then I got a Jalapeno Cucumber.
K2 is the best bartender on the ship. He knew my name the first day. People who get the same drink every time don’t even have to order with him.
After that I stepped down to the brewhouse for some Morettis.
These are the TVs in the back I mentioned this morning.
I got a couple more Morettis to take to go.
The have a Q&A with part of The Choir of Man cast in the atrium.
The show itself it takes an hour and a half to prepare the stage and another hour and a half to tear it down.
They serve Heineken to the crowd but drink Heineken 0.0 on stage.
The other cast members are watching in the back of the room.

I got a dirty martini.
I stopped by the room to finish packing and get ready for dinner. They changed up the spread in the studio lounge to cookies and cakes for the afternoon.
Before dinner I headed down to the brewhouse for a couple beers to take to dinner.
I’m going to go in the exterior entrance to the restaurant so I can check out the sunset on the way there.
These two older guys are at the table next to me. One of them says “ I like a double-fisted cowboy. What part of Texas are you from?”
The pizza and the veal are what was recommended to me. This is the pizza. You can get it as an appetizer or main course. Since the veal is a main I had to get this as an appetizer to try both. I really like the pizza. Next time I will get this as the main so I can eat more of it.
That’s all I can do and still have room for veal. I ended up giving the rest of it away to surrounding tables.

I got the tiramisu to go. They don’t have covers for to go desserts but you can take it like this.
I dropped the tiramisu off in the room and headed down to the theater for PG comedy.

I decided to tag my luggage. I have to be out of the room at 8 here where on Carnival I’m used to 8:30. This way I won’t have a suitcase to deal with. I have a late flight so I’m going with the orange tag.

They have a hockey game on the big screen.
I stopped by the pool bar and got two shots of Tito’s. Just add orange juice in the morning.
After putting my suitcase out I headed down to the theater for adult comedy.
