Hawaiian Radiance: Day 11

Good morning. We lost an hour in the time change this morning. We’ll be losing an hour each day on our way to Ensenada.

The coffee line is only two deep this morning.

It looks nice out here but it’s extremely windy.

I headed back in to the atrium bar and got a screwdriver.

Then I headed into the theater for the morning show.

The TVs are out.

Vera is back in the casino but wasn’t in the coffee shop this morning. She made me a bloody mary.

Dr. Seuss is on the loose.

My room has been made up. I sent out more laundry this morning.

They have a dance class in the Red Frog Pub. The teacher was on the morning show.

I’m heading up to the Serenity Bar. It’s still extremely windy.

Coconut Kiss

Due to the mixology class yesterday, I had to miss the Explorers of the Pacific presentation which Steve said was his favorite. Today he is doing Hawaiian Corals.

Carnival has removed most of the lido deck competitions I used to enjoy. They did add this one which I try to catch.

After the competition I decided to head to Guy’s for a burger. I happened to catch a new batch of burgers coming out.

I got a ringer and fries.

The sun is out. It’s still a bit windy though.

Deal or No Deal is going on in the theater.

I spent some time at the Alchemy with Nikola.

Then I headed to the theater for the concert version of 80’s Pop to the Max.

Then I headed up to deck 11 fora Mai Tai and the sunset.

Then I stopped by the Alchemy. This group I met last night really likes this drink and insisted I have one with them. They call it Sprite even though it doesn’t taste like Sprite. It has a bitter taste which I hate.

After that I headed down to the Sunset Restaurant for dinner.

It’s Italian night so I ordered a Peroni. I prefer Moretti but Peroni is what they have on this ship. Venezia had Moretti at almost every bar. On Norwegian ships with the District Brewhouse have Moretti.

You can see why they call it the Sunset Restaurant.

I’m ordering items that I would normally get at Cucina Del Capitano.

I think this is the best dining team so far. They are funny and entertaining. It’s a nice view from their section. They bring items one at a time and ask if you want pepper and things like that.

After dinner I headed to the theater for a fly-on act. This is a ventriloquist named Phil Hughes.

I grabbed a dirty martini at the bar.

He switched dummies.

He ended the show using audience members as dummies.

I grabbed a dirty martini in a rocks glass to take to comedy.

The guy at the door wasn’t going to let me in because they were full. I asked if I could just watch it on TV in the entry hallway. He let me do that. When two women came in and were able to go into the club, I went as well. There’s a ton of standing room only space that could’ve been utilized.

Then a guy who actually had a seat decided to stand up and do calisthenics in front of me.

I just moved over.

After comedy I stopped by the room and found the laundry I sent out this morning has been delivered.

I missed the first 10 minutes of comedy earlier so I went to a repeat show to catch that. They gave me blue cheese olives in my martini at the comedy club.

I get upstairs on time for star gazing and nobody was there. Last time that happened I found out they had gone to the front of the ship. This time they’re in neither spot.
