Hawaiian Radiance: Day 3
I didn’t sleep very good last night. I slept an hour at a time about four hours total I believe. I woke up at 4am and could not go back to sleep.

The coffee line is 15 deep this morning. I have a guy who sounds like Elmer Fudd behind me.

I got an Americano.

For breakfast I went by Big Chicken for some strips and fries.

Then I got a screwdriver at the bar.

I made it upstairs for the nature walk with Steve the Naturalist.

It’s a bit chilly out here this morning.

We are looking for whales birds and flying fish.

We have moved to the side.

We didn’t see anything so I moved inside. It looks like we’ve lost satellite coverage.

They a creativity at sea event going on in the pub.

They are making Carnival keychains.

I kept walking and headed down to the theater for The Wave Morning Show.

They have trivia going on in the atrium.

This is a spicy double Belvedere Bloody Mary.

The caricature guy is setup. You have to get there early and sign up to get a spot but I believe these are free.

I’m heading up to the Serenity deck.

My favorite drink up here is the coconut kiss which is Bacardi, Malibu, and coconut water.

At noon I headed down to Groove for St. Jude.

The pool has been drained. I’m guessing due to the rough seas we had yesterday.

I have time to catch part of the Volcano presentation before the Diamond lunch.

A lot of people got here early. Many of them probably didn’t pay for the two weeks of Cheers so this is a chance at free drinks.

The Captain and the Cruise Director are here.

Teriyaki pork bites are really good.

I also go the jumbo shrimp.

I was able to get pictures of some of the other mains at the table.

Chocolate crema

It must be 1:15 because they’re doing hula lessons.

Apparently Nikola is sick. He wasn’t here at all yesterday. He’s going to take tonight off as well. But he’s expected back tomorrow.

Someone brought cotton candy and asked Marina to make a vanished beneath from Dr. Inks on Jubilee.

I got another filthy martini.

Espresso martini

This is an unnamed Marina drink. I told her she should call it Mounds because it’s chocolate and coconut with rum.

I’m going back to the filthy martini.

They had another 4pm ukulele class.

I asked the steward for some additional laundry bags.

I wanted to get in and out of dinner quick because the Captain’s welcome is at 6:15. I was able to request a table at 5:12 and get it at 5:13

I got in early.

Cranberry rolls

Spinach salad

Crawfish fettuccine appetizer

Chicken cordon bleu

Elegant night at the Alchemy bar.

The pub is empty.

I took advantage of the emptiness and grabbed a Stella to take to the atrium.

Pictures with the captain. That guy is definitely wearing a piece.

After the Captain’s welcome I headed to Sebastian Cetina’s PG comedy show.

After the show I got right in line for Drew Marks’ adult show.

Drew Marks telling jokes to people in line for his show.

There’s still space available here.

Comedy host Noem

Drew Marks

This is the line for Chris Strait’s adult show. It wraps around and goes through the dining room.

I got roughly the same seat.

Chris Strait

After the show I went upstairs for Steve the Naturalists star gazing.

We weren’t able to see anything due to cloud cover. We’ll try again tomorrow night.

The Captain must be eating here.

The dive-in movie is IF.

A look down at the atrium from deck 9.

They said this is the concert version of Rock Revolution. On Spirit we had it because the seas were too rough. I don’t know if that’s the deal here or if we get the full version next week.

The atrium has entertainment now.

On Encore when I did the waterfalls I was telling people you’re better off buying water shoes ahead of time for $10-20 vs. renting those nasty shoes for $8. Here you go. $10 water shoes on the ship.

They don’t have my size.

There isn’t anything going on in the pub or piano bar. I headed to the Alchemy for a couple dirty martinis before bed.

I stopped by the Alchemy and asked Marina if I had any drinks left. She said I had two. Sounds good!

The piano bar is going now. I’m off to bed. Tomorrow is another sea day.
