Good morning! My room is a connecting one and I had some loud neighbors at 4am. I was getting up at 4:45 so I just got up at 4:30.
I have an early flight out of LAX so I picked a couple of Voodoo Doughnuts yesterday. This is a homer and a dirt.
I’m waiting on Uber. I remember people saying you could get a cheaper ride by scheduling the day before. I tried that with this one and they were wanting $68 and up. I looked at it live last night and it was $40. I took my chances today and got $45.
Normally Lyft is cheaper than Uber. Every trip here Uber has been cheaper.
I was dropped off at the airport at 6:02 just as the Uber estimated.

My bag lost a pound. I guess that’s two weeks of hairspray, lotion, toothpaste, soap, etc.
I did the self bag drop.
The regular security line was pretty easy. There were 10 people in front of me.
I was standing in front of the Loew’s Hollywood hotel at 5:25 and less than an hour later I was at my gate at 6:23.

Since I have Spirit First, I’m in boarding group 1.
This is me. I usually sit on the other side of the plane but at check in there was someone next to me but nobody next to this seat. I figure it will get filled but at least there’s a chance of it being empty. One thing I have learned is Spirit will give you a better deal on these seats at the gate but they will not give it to you for free.

They were trying to get people to give up their seats. They said this flight was full. But they still didn’t put anyone in the seat next to me or in the seat I moved from (1A). So me and the guy on the other side got our own row. I’m glad they aren’t giving these seats away for free.
Drinks are included in Spirit First. I always order a double bloody mary.
I had some Wifi issues during the flight.
Snacks are also included in Spirit First.
We are now flying over the Dallas area. This is The Gaylord Texan.
The Great Wolf Lodge
We were supposed to land at 1:08 but we landed at 12:40. But our gate area is clogged with traffic so we were waiting to get in there. We finally started moving at 12:50.
It was a long wait for luggage but mine was the first on the belt.
The shuttle timed it just right.
Next time we’re doing New England-Canada from New York City. But I’m going to post my Christmas cruise first.
