Good morning! I slept 8 hours. It was nice and quiet with no movement.
The one thing I miss about the Encore room is the virtual window. But here you can still turn your TV into one using the ship cams.
I get that they made the virtual window into a regular TV to add storage space. If it were me I’d mount the TV there and bring the virtual window back.
Here are today’s Freestyle Dailies.
Since my touchscreen isn’t working and I can’t turn on my do not disturb sign, I made my own.
This is the morning spread in the studio lounge.
I filled my cup with latte and filled my Brita with water.
Then I found a nice spot behind Starbucks in the atrium to drink my coffee.
They have some kind of an exercise class going on in the atrium.
They have an officer meet and greet at 10:30. I grabbed a double screwdriver from the bar.
I walked over to the store and picked up my ship ornament.
Then I got a spicy bloody mary at The Local.
I grabbed two Abita Ambers from the Luna bar to take to lunch.
I went ahead and booked a 6pm dinner at Los Lobos tonight. The main show is Price is Right and comedy doesn’t start until 9pm. That’s the kind of schedule I was waiting for to do my specialty dining.
I’m getting guacamole from The Latin Quarter, crab bread from Tapas, and Indonesian noodle soup from Nudls.
They brought two things I didn’t order.
French Onion Soup
Jarmon which is cured ham.
Alvin is hosting the Mr. Sexy Legs competition on lido deck.
I got a couple pina coladas from the bar.
After that the Latin Duo took over the stage.
I feel like the sun deck is underutilized.
They have some good looking chicken sandwiches as I pass through the buffet.
There’s the entrance to the Vibe Beach Club. It gets a lot of premium real estate on this ship.
Let’s take a look at the stadium then I’m going to try the dry slides.
This is the first ship I’ve been on that has an actual dedicated pickle ball court instead of just putting a net on the basketball court.
I happened to get to The Rush during a break. I’m going to walk around to the other side and do The Drop first.

That was pretty good.
I stepped inside to get a beer from Dr. Bong. He’s getting so many orders that he fills beer pitchers while he makes other drinks then pours the beer into cups. He’s getting all of the orders from the food hall tables as well as the bar orders.
When I came up here I saw two girls go down the slide. I stopped for just a second to look at something on my phone and they closed it off. The guy said it was a rotation so I think he’s going down and the other guy is coming up. I’m going to do The Drop again while I’m up here.
This time there’s a little bit of a line.
After doing The Drop again I came back and The Rush was open.
The Drop is definitely more fun than The Rush. The Drop shoots you down the slide. The Rush you just slide down and it isn’t as fast.
Here’s a look at the afternoon spread in the Studio Lounge.
The Observation Lounge is packed.
I couldn’t quite understand but there was an announcement that they need to clear the Observation Lounge in 15 minutes for a private function. A guy at the bar said it’s the second time they’ve done that today. I think they reopen at 7:30pm.
Dirty Grey Goose martini
I come into the observation men’s room and a lady is standing there. I say “you know this is the men’s room?” She says “yeah I just walked in on a guy. It’s very confusing.”
I mention it to the guy at the urinal. He says his wife did the same thing at a bathroom yesterday. I mean I get that the sign doesn’t say men but it clearly doesn’t have the skirt.
I’m trying the Metropolitan bar.
This is a Watermelon Twist. It’s a tequila drink but I like watermelon so I’m trying it. It’s very deceiving. It doesn’t taste like watermelon at all. But it’s spicy with that rim so I’m drinking it.
I’m going to have to try one of those sundaes from The Local one of these days.
I grabbed two Modelos to take to Los Lobos.
I made it just in time for the good part. I was kind of surprised the Cruise Director doesn’t host.
My room got cleaned during dinner.
I left a note asking for ice. This will help.
Some kind of game is going on in the atrium.
I headed down to the local to pick up comedy beers.

On my way back to the room I heard the singer in the atrium say it was their last set. They probably go until midnight.
