Prima: Day 7
Good morning. Today is a sea day and the last day of the cruise. I was able to get caught up on sleep with 8 hours which is about the maximum I can sleep.

I’m not a fan of that control panel on the wall. Last night it was black so I left it alone. It was pitch dark when I went to sleep. I woke up at 4am and it was lit up again. I woke up at 8am and it was off again.
I wonder if covering it up with my hat will work. I’ll try it tonight.

I stopped by the studio lounge for water, coffee, and ice.

The Captain’s update didn’t sound great for weather in Galveston.
Here is a look at today’s Freestyle Daily.

I got a double grey goose screwdriver in the atrium.

Then I brought it into the theater for the Captain’s presentation. These cup holders work good for these glasses. I don’t recommend trying them for a beer bottle though.

I have seen a similar presentation on Princess done by 2nd and 3rd officers. I’m surprised a Captain is actually doing this.

For the full slide presentation, please visit Norwegian Prima: Maritime & Technical.
After the presentation Captain Roger was joined by Staff Engineer Georgie for a Q&A session.

After that I got a double bloody mary.

Next up is Battle of the Cake Masters in the atrium.

We have a guest on the left, the Cruise Director in the middle, and a the Chief Pastry Chef on the right.

This is a lot like the one I saw on Princess. Here the Cruise Director is playing the clown messing his up on purpose. He put a lot of alcohol in his. After this guests are allowed to sample the cakes but adults only for the one with alcohol in it.

On Princess it was the Director of Restaurant Ops playing the clown and the Executive Chef was the serious one. No guests were involved. They had a fancy cooking show type of set in the theater and did a free galley tour for everyone afterwards.

I got a pina colada from The Local.

This is my lunch order in the food hall.

I’m going back to the double bloody mary.

They have a crew member talent show in the atrium.

This is a photographer who will be singing today.

I didn’t catch his job but he’s dancing and did a backflip at one point.

This is Diego from the Cruise Director’s Staff. He was heavily featured last night in the Sketch Comedy Movie Trivia.

This is a husband and wife dance team.

This is a team doing the official dance of the Philippines.

After the talent show they brought out crew from all of the departments for a dance party.

There are some good seats available at the back of the ship.

I got two Abita Ambers.

Then I got a double screwdriver.

Bingo is going on in the theater.

I got a mojito at The Local.

Let’s take an afternoon look at the lido deck.

I do like that they have this small cart to take some of the stress off of the bar.

Now I am up above lido deck.

This is the water slide.

They have a super selfie photo spot up here.

I am back down on lido deck now.

It looks like they have some off-brand hoops on TV.

I got a mudslide from the bar.

I’m walking through the buffet now. It’s a small buffet on this ship. The area where the chicken sandwiches caught my eye the other day now has meatball subs.

There is no viewing of the go carts now. That’s too bad because I heard later they’re putting the scooters up there for an AARP 500.

Here is a look at the afternoon studio lounge snacks.

The steward made my room up today.

I went into my stash and poured a Guinness.

I got an espresso martini in the Observation Lounge.

On my way out I made a stop in the Observation Restroom.

Here is a look at the Prima ship model.

The ship is officially out of Abita Amber. I got Heinekens from Dr. Bong to take to dinner.
For dinner I’m ordering my favorites from the Indulge Food Hall.
Fresno Cheddar Pepper Naan

Chicken Tikka Masala

Pineapple

This is the main show tonight.

It’s crowded. I guess everyone is trying to get the early show in.

I got a standing spot by the Lincoln box.

There’s a solo guitarist in the atrium.

I never picked up my luggage tags. I’ll go orange and send my luggage out. It seems like I have to be out of the room earlier here than on Carnival.

They are signing up for The Perfect Couple in the atrium. I’ve seen this game on other ships. It’s like The Adult Game Show on Carnival.

After The Perfect Couple I headed to the Pourhouse for Broadway Cabaret.

I stopped by the local for a couple beers.

It looks like they have Australian Rules Football on.

I heard a lot of cheering down-bar and I was thinking “man, those guys are really into this Australian rules football! Down-bar must be down under.” So I went down to check it out. They’re streaming college basketball on a laptop.

I got a table a the local for dessert.

Then I headed to bed. Tomorrow is debarkation day.
