Quality Inn Texas City
Texas City is about at 25-minute drive to the port of Galveston. I was able to get a room at the Quality Inn I-45 in Texas City for a total of $80 on Hotwire. That was for a Thursday night before a Friday cruise on Norwegian Prima out of Galveston.

I like a hotel with a Walmart and food options nearby. Quality Inn I-45 has both.

This is a look at the exterior of the hotel.

This is the 3rd floor hallway where my room was located.

Both sides of the bed has a power outlet, reading light and a USB port. On one side they had the power outlet used by the alarm clock.

The desk lamp had one USB port.

It doesn’t look like they replaced the shampoo after the last guest.

For public spaces here is a look at the fitness center.

They have an indoor pool. The spa was out of service while I was there.

They have two washers and two dryers available at $2 each.

They have a little bit of a waiting area in the laundry room but no folding space.

They do have public restrooms on the first floor.

They have a computer and printer in the lobby area.

Free breakfast is available in this room from 6-9am.

This hotel was fine for my needs. I got in about 8:30pm and just needed a place to sleep and shower. The breakfast was a nice bonus. I would consider staying here again before future cruises if the price was right again.
