In St. Thomas they have the Sky Ride to Paradise Point which costs $35 on the ship or $30 at the ticket window. This is offered under excursions for Norwegian which means you can use your $50 excursion credit for a free ticket. That’s exactly what I did.
The Sky Ride is a short walk from the pier. Here you can see it from the ship above the Disney Treasure.
This is the entrance to the Sky Ride.
The price here is $5 cheaper than through Norwegian so if you have multiple people and can only get one free ticket, your best bet is to get the other tickets here.
I went to the window and exchanged my Norwegian Excursion ticket for a wrist band.
The line is quite long. It was a 25-minute wait for me.
When you get to the front of this line they seat you in those chairs. I was able to skip ahead of some groups since I was alone and they had room for one person.
They fill three gondolas at a time which are attached to each other. It seems like the people in the back two don’t get as good of a view as the front one. I was in the front both times.
This is the view from the top. That’s a popular picture spot on the stairs at the bottom.
The thing to do here is get a Bushwacker which was invented in St. Thomas so that’s what I’m going to do.
They’re serving them up out of machines here.
The bartender who created the Bushwacker named it after a guest’s dog, Bushwack.
I bet that’s a world class pickle ball court on HAL.
Let’s take a look at Disney’s newest ship.
And there is Encore.
Way over on the other side of the bay is Celebrity Ascent and another ship.
That’s another viewpoint and popular picture spot. We’ll head there next.
There is a restaurant downstairs here. The bathrooms are also down here. Shops are upstairs.
Someone is going to be in trouble with the towel people on the ship. I wonder if I can return that myself and build up some credit in case I lose one tomorrow.
I found a nice high table on the top floor to finish my drink at.
There was no line to go back down when I got up here. Now all of the sudden the line goes down the stairs.
Once you get upstairs they seat you in these chairs.
It was a 20-minute wait to go back down. I do recommend coming up here for the view especially if you can get a free ticket from Norwegian. I’ll do it every time for free. It’s an easy walk from the ship.
