Christmas Vista: Belize
Good Morning! I don’t put my phone in airplane mode on the ship as they recommend. Because of that I occasionally I have to deal with my time being an hour off of ship time. This time of year in Cozumel is one of those times.
The last time I went to Belize I did the Lamanai Mayan Ruins excursion. As you may or may not remember, I showed up in the lounge an hour early.
Well this time I set my alarm based on my time which is an hour ahead of ship time. I woke up at 4:30 and realized my time had changed. I changed my alarm and put my phone in airplane mode to be safe.
I don’t have time to eat breakfast anywhere this morning so I ordered room service.
I had 6-6:30 as my delivery time. They came at 6:10. They have some additional charge items on the menu. I ordered from the free items. A bagel and cream cheese. Cereal and milk. Coffee and orange juice. The peanut butter is going to the alchemy bar later so Raunak can make me a Reece’s drink. For now I’ll put it in the refrigerator.
Here is today’s schedule of events.
I saw this rainbow out my window so of course I had to go outside.
We have a double rainbow thing happening. They’re always after me lucky charms.

I headed up to my room to find my laundry arrived while I was gone.
I was hungry so I decided to grab a Guy’s burger and just have a late dinner.
I went with the ringer as usual.
After the burger I tried to get a spot at the alchemy bar but it was full. I went to the pub for a stout instead.
After that I went back by the alchemy but it was still full. I continued to the atrium bar but it was also full. I went to the sports bar and got a toasted amber.
I went back by alchemy but it was still full. I decided to check out Jason Blanchard’s PG comedy show.
After his show I went back to to the alchemy but it’s still full. I decided to check in for dinner at 7:30 so maybe I could make it to 8:30 comedy.
It only took two minutes to get a table assigned.
They really are making an effort to keep you with the same dining team. They gave me the table next to the one I had the past two nights for some reason.
Shrimp cocktail.
Caesar salad.
Broccoli and three cheese soup.
Beef tenderloin.
One of my favorite Carnival desserts: Bitter and blanc.
After dinner I went to the 8:30 Just June comedy show. They are at the door telling people it’s full.
I slipped in behind the guy at the door and quickly found a seat before anyone could stop me.
This is my second cruise with Just June. She’s very good.
After the show I headed towards the main lounge at the front of the ship Electric violins are playing in the atrium.
Amor Cubano is going on in the Liquid Lounge.
I headed back to the comedy club for the second Just June show and got roughly the same seat. Perhaps the exact same seat.
After comedy I headed upstairs. They have a silent white night happening on lido deck. This is a combination of white night and the silent disco.
It’s not a good place to be as a spectator.
I headed to the Liquid Lounge where they’re having a late night comedy showcase featuring both comedians.
After the late night comedy show I headed up to bed. Tomorrow we’re at the Mahogany Bay cruise port on the island of Roatan, Honduras.
I’m going to be doing more laundry later this week so I requested additional bags and forms from my steward. Good night!
