Good morning from the Carnival Radiance coffee line. It feels like it gets longer every day. It was 20 people yesterday. It’s 25 today at 7:30am.
The atrium bar is the alternative coffee location but it doesn’t open until 8am.
The pool is out of service again.
This is the first time I’ve heard this. I get my Big Chicken and all of the tables are taken. There’s nobody at the bar so I sit there. The bartender says you aren’t allowed to eat at the bar. Since when? People always eat food next to me at bars.
The aft pool still works.
I went down to the rum bar so I don’t have to deal with that other bartender.
It’s time for the nature walk with Steve the naturalist.
All I saw today was this black footed albatross. They have a wingspan up to 12 feet and fly behind the us because the ship kicks up fish.
Creativity at sea is making leis today. I’m going to do this one.
I should’ve followed a pattern with my lei. I was just trying to get it done as quick as possible.
The laundry I sent out yesterday has been delivered.
Spicy Bloody Mary from Vera in the casino. She said she saw me with the beer last night after my 15 and asked where I got it. I have a stash in my fridge.
I thought it was crazy when they started closing brunch at noon. Well now it’s 11:30am. They do have a steakhouse brunch for $28 that goes until 1pm.
The TVs are back working. They had them on marketing ads yesterday.

I headed to the theater for part 2 of Steve’s island hopping presentation. For all of the slides check out Island Hopping: Part 2.
Singer Chuck Wagner and our Hawaiian ambassadors are in attendance.
After the presentation I stuck around to ask Steve about tomorrow. He said I would have time to pick between a few things including Iao, the Ocean Center, or the beach with the turtles.
I asked about Iao. He said he’d recommend taking an Uber and I’d need to plan to spend an hour at the park.
There’s a watermelon carving contest on lido deck.
My room has been serviced.
They’re getting ready for hula lessons in the Red Frog Pub.
The ukulele players will provide the music. He’s tuning ukuleles for anyone who needs it.
The main pool is empty but the aft pool is in service.

I grabbed a Funship at the platinum and diamond reunion.
I went to the bar to get another to take to the Hawaiian appreciation event and they gave me two.
We have 3,003 guests onboard. 1,211 gold, 891 platinum, and 232 diamonds.
If you do the hula lessons at 1:15 everyday, you can come out here and do two songs and look like you know what you’re doing.
The Alchemy is full so this is a good time to rehydrate.

This is the same table as last time. I like it. It’s close to the entrance and I can look at all of the people down below.
It’s Mexican night. I’m just ordering off of the appetizer menu.
I’m not sure how you’re supposed to eat this queso. The menu says it comes with tortilla chips. This is just a tortilla. I guess I pour the queso on the tortilla?
They don’t do Mexican well here at all. I’d say this is a hard soft tortilla. I just ate the shrimp off of it.
That’s where the queso is going.
I’m going to the stash for comedy. I’ll replenish it over the port days.

Then I ended the night with a deal closer. I’m off to bed. Tomorrow we’re in Maui.
