Hilton Riverside is the most popular cruise hotel in New Orleans. It offers terrific river views, a great restaurant, and the ability to walk indoors to Julia Street Cruise port and most of the way to Erato Street Cruise Port.
I got a great deal on this hotel on Hotwire. I paid a total of $108 on a Friday night. That’s significantly cheaper than what I could find for decent hotels out of town that night. Part of the $108 was a $25 resort fee. With that you get a $10 food credit. I used that credit toward a dozen chargrilled oysters at Drago’s which is in the hotel.
They have an ATM downstairs.
This is the hotel bar which is connected to Drago’s and the hotel restaurant. I have spent an entire Sunday at this bar watching football before. They do have NFL Sunday Ticket. There are also TVs at the Drago’s bar and a projection screen in Drago’s restaurant.
Right across from the front desk was a Starbucks. I’m not sure what this remodel entails. They are serving Starbucks coffee in the gift shop now.
There was quite a line at check-in but it moved pretty quick.
When I book with Hotwire occasionally I end up with an accessible room without asking for one. Sometimes the front desk will ask me if I need it and I will tell them no. Sometimes I’ll think to mention it to them. In this case they were so busy I didn’t think about it. But I was given an accessible room this time.
PJ’s is a local coffee chain similar to Starbucks. I like seeing their coffee in the room.
Unless I’m missing something, the lids don’t fit the cups.
They have a sink outside of the bathroom so one person can be using it while another person is in the bathroom.
This is an accessible bathroom.
Let’s take a look out the window.
We are in building one. There are three buildings in the Hilton Riverside complex. Building two is not visible in this picture but it is off to the left. Building three is directly in front of us. It’s above the Riverwalk Mall.
This bridge takes you to buildings 2 and 3 as well as the Riverwalk Mall.
Building three is above the Riverwalk Mall. It has a bunch of courtyards in it including one with a pool.
The Mark Twain Courtyard is my favorite.
You can see the port from the Mark Twain Courtyard.
You can walk through the mall to the Julia Street Cruise Terminal. Just outside it’s a short walk to Erato Street Cruise Terminal from here.
I highly recommend considering Hilton Riverside if you’re cruising out of New Orleans.
