New England Getaway: New York Day 1
I flew into LaGuardia and took a bus and a train to Times Square. The first thing I did was check into my hotel room at Sheraton Times Square. I’m staying here tonight then again one night after my cruise. For a full review of of the hotel please check out Sheraton Times Square.

I have The Lion King Broadway show tonight. Before I go to that I will probably check out that street market for food.

Let’s check it out.

I went with Arepas which is a South American griddle cake made of cornmeal, water, and salt grilled or fried with cheese, meat, or avocado inside. In this case it’s cheese.

The vendors go from a block before the main Times Square area to a block before Central ParkĀ

Rusty!

Look to the cookie!

My last Seinfeld reference for the day.

I still have time before the show so I stopped back by the hotel to work on my $30 food credit.

I got two more to take back to the room. That finishes up my food credit.

I’m heading out to the show. It’s about five blocks and supposed to be a 9-minute walk.

Doors haven’t opened yet and it’s quite a line.

We’re going in now. For full coverage of the show please check out The Lion King on Broadway.

I am out of the show now and heading back. It was a very good show. I still prefer Hamilton but I’m more of a history and comedy person than a Disney person.

They have famous cheesecakes here. I’m going to try one.

And we are back at the hotel. One thing about Manhattan is you’ll never go hungry. There’s always at least one 24 hour hot dog stand outside every hotel I’ve stayed at here.

I just went with a regular plain cheesecake.

I’m off to bed. Good night!
