NOLA Escape: Debarkation

Good morning! Today is debarkation day for Norwegian Escape in New Orleans. The first announcement I heard was at 7:10 for self assist.

This depends on which ship you are on but I really wish they’d at least let us get coffee in the lounge on debarkation day here.

I headed up to the buffet for coffee. It’s foggy this morning!

Then I grabbed my suitcase and checked out at 7:30am.

The Library/Card Room is kind of hidden in a hallway by the Supper Club.

I’m heading to breakfast.

They called yellow luggage tags at 7:50.

They called red tags at 8am.

Salmon bagel

Pancakes

They called light blue tags at 8:08. That’s me.

That’s the magician from the crew show

It’s quite a line. We went from forward elevators back to the casino and we’re now wrapping in O’Sheehan’s.

This game area wasn’t used and much as on Getaway. I’m guessing because Getaway was the week before school started in New York and a three day weekend. There were much fewer kids and teens on this cruise. Almost unnoticeable

I got in line at 8:10 and was off the ship at 8:25.

They had a lot of light blue luggage tags and mine was on the end so that took a minute.

I got my bag at 8:30 and was outside of the port at 8:35.

The shuttle was full so I walked and beat the shuttle to the garage instead of waiting on another shuttle.

I’m on my way out of town. That’s a new driving range with a great view of downtown. The area code here is 504.

Next time we’re doing a New England/Canada cruise on Getaway out of New York City.
