Puerto Vallarta: Rhythms of the Night

on
November 15, 2021

The last time I was on Panorama, I heard nothing but great things about the Rhythms of the Night tour. Ever since then I’ve heard nothing but good things about the tour. This is probably the most talked about tour of any cruise I’ve been on. Last time was my first time in Puerto Vallarta and I didn’t know if there would ever be a next time so I definitely wanted to actually see Puerto Vallarta. I knew if I ever came back I would have to try Rhythms of the Night. Here we are.

The meeting location was the Limelight Lounge on deck 4 at 3pm. We didn’t actually leave the lounge until closer to 3:30pm.

They’re walking us to the front of the ship. I’m starting to suspect they’re just taking us to a show in the theater.

This is not our boat.

This is our boat.

The bar is open. I’m going to grab a couple of drinks and head to the top deck. I figure there are probably people who can’t use the stairs so that will free up the lower deck for those people.

I got some rum punch.

And we’re off!

The guys are just running up and down the stairs bringing pitchers of rum punch, margarita, and beer.

I decided to try some of their Pacifico beer.

I feel like I’m riding in to be on Survivor.

They were having some kind of show downstairs. The water was really too rough to be walking around at that point. Once things settled down I moved down but the show had just ended. I’ll have to sit down there on the way back in case they do another one.

The boat does have two bathrooms. There’s a small airplane style sink you can’t see behind this door.

Everyone is in line here and then these people walk up and create their new line cutting in front of the people in the real line.

They have a gift shop. If you want to buy something you need to do it right after you eat before the show starts. After the show you go directly to the boat to leave.

There are several dining areas. The first was on the beach and had limited seating.

This was the second dining area.

I ended up going to the third dining area which was also closest to the food.

They gave us all umbrellas getting off of the boat in case it rained.

I got steak, shrimp, and vegetables.

They had waiters serving drinks.

After dinner I went in search of the bathroom.

I didn’t know if I was supposed to pee, pray, or confess here. I did all just to be safe.

I made my way tot the theater and got a good seat.

Here is an 11 minute YouTube video that includes all of the videos I took during the show.

After the show we made our way back to the boat.

Bar is back open. Music is playing. We’re heading back.

I made sure I got a seat on the bottom deck in case they had another show.

After serving copious amounts of alcohol, they did have another show. This one included impersonations of Michael Jackson, House of Pain, and Guns N’ Roses.

Here is a compilation of the videos I made during the ride back.

This is the crew.

After the show I was able to move to the top deck to have a better view of our arrival.

I think the entire ship definitely knew when we got back.

This is the drum set that was used during the Guns N’ Roses portion of the show.

While we were walking back to the ship the horn blew a few times. The good thing about booking a Carnival excursion is you know the ship will not leave without you.

I enjoyed this tour. It is one of the more expensive excursion options but I would rather pay $160 for this one which included a steak and shrimp dinner than $120 for the whale watching excursion I booked in Cabo San Lucas last time. I did enjoy both tours but I think this one had more value.
