Regal Christmas: Galveston Day 2

I had a tough time sleeping last night because of this light shining in from the house in front of my Airbnb. I went out to see if it was something I could control and found two people from the Airbnb in front of mine were sitting on the couch in front of my window. They apologized and moved back to their area but I could hear them out there talking until I finally fell asleep around 2am.

I used this towel to block out the light from the door window but there was nothing I could do about the big window.

I made coffee and I’m going for a walk.

One of the balcony people from last night must have puked.

It’s really foggy.

Tiki Bar is where I’m heading.

Shiner

The bartender said they have these happy hour prices all day today.

Chips and Queso

The visibility is still pretty bad. I wonder if this affects any ships today.

Whoa!

A bird walks into a bar…

I was wondering why the stadium looked so empty. I guess it’s the rain.

It’s still not looking great here.

This is another one off of the happy hour menu. Diablo Shrimp for $10.

Galveston fire trucks are heading somewhere fast with their sirens on.

Now fire trucks are racing back the other way.

I got all of the late games on.

It’s starting to clear up outside.

It looks pretty clear on the other side of the island. The ships are getting out with no problem.

Another happy hour item. Baja fish taco for $6.

Here’s a look at the desserts.

I closed out at The Spot. For chips & queso, diablo shrimp, a fish taco, and 7 shiners the total was $50.

I’m going to get a little sunset beach walk in.

I don’t know what’s going on here. Maybe an engagement ceremony.

I wanted to check out the Christmas decorations at the Grand Galvez.

I’m stopping at The Longboard for a drink.

I got a Bloody Mary. I saw at Brick House they have a $3 Bloody Mary during their happy hour.

They have this bar area overlooking the pool.

Then the beach on the other side. Of course it’s better during the day.

I’m heading back to the Airbnb.

This is interesting. That big light tonight is motion activated. It’s making me wonder if it was motion activated last night as well. I’m thinking those people out on the balcony were keeping the light on with their movement. Tomorrow is embarkation day. Good night.
