Regal Princess: Day 6

on
March 22, 2024

Good morning. I had the Chefs Table last night. I ate way too much food. I’m not sure if I can eat this morning or not.

Those look like good specials. I think I missed the MDR breakfast. I don’t know if I can eat breakfast today. It’s kind of weird to not feel hungry after not eating for 12 hours.

Here is today’s schedule of events.

Exercise class is happening in the atrium.

When I’ve talked about putting you medallion up to a “plate” at the dining room and coffee shop, this is what I’m talking about.

The restaurant manager was there and walked me to my table asking about the Chef’s Table last night.

I’ve got my MDR dinner waiter, Oleg. He said he saw me going to Chefs Table last night.

I told Oleg I didn’t think I could eat but I like blueberry pancakes so I’m giving it a shot. He recommended I try the other special as well. It doesn’t look like anything too heavy.

The exercise class is over. Now they have a group of travel advisors in the atrium. They’re going to get a picture taken with the captain.

I’m going to grab a butter pecan latte.

Butter pecan latte

You can also put your medallion up to these plates if you want to pull up your stuff on the big screen. I guess if you’re a person who wants keep your phone off the entire cruise, you could do it using these.

I did some exploring.

Wedding Chapel and Concierge Lounge

Here is a late morning view from the balcony.

Kids clubs

Photo studio

I stepped outside and now I know where I’m at. This is the smoking area.

If you want to play a lot of pickleball, this is your ship.

From a distance I thought the right lane was handicapped.

Sea walk

There’s a movie on but I don’t recognize it.

It looks like Jack Black.

Screwdrivers from William

Pizza place before opening.

I wanted to catch this. It sounds like fun. I don’t think I’ve seen it on other ships. They had it on the first sea day but I missed it. I hear the officers won. In the guests defense, the officers probably do this every week.

I got a 50 yard line seat.

The guests won.

I was here on the first sea day and it took so long to get waited on that I left. Now I’m the only one here so I like my chances.

I like history. But there’s no way I’m sitting through a lecture on the response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

I’m the only one at the bar and I still had to give him my cabin number. I got a bloody mary.

The ends of the ship seem to have the super big screens

Let’s test my theory about being about to do your business on them.

Excursions

Lets try for a dinner reservation.

It looks like you can do anything you can do on the app, on these screens in the elevator lobby. It’s a good option for people who don’t want to carry their phone around.

That’s what made it be a long wait here last time. They get preoccupied making coffees.

After giving her room number for the second time in five minutes, the lady next to me holds up her medallion and says they have a hard time with these don’t they?

Ultimate cooler

Mojito

They know me at Sea View Bar. No room numbers required.

Hurricane

Ice carving was frustrating. Since this deck is totally taken up by two pools and a fountain, they did that in such a small area that only a limited number of people can see it.

Finally when he was done I was able to get in.

Let’s take a look at the buffet. This is the pastry shop.

I walked the rest of the buffet. I’m not an expert. I think the size is the same but the selection is the biggest I’ve seen. There wasn’t much overlap in the front and back.

They even have a kids favorites section.

I’m back at the Sea View Bar for a dirty banana.

Champions. The return of Woody Harrelson and the fourth Ghostbuster.

The far pool and the middle fountain are all kids. This pool has about 3-5 adults and the rest kids. It feels like a summer cruise here. Not November before Thanksgiving break.

I think I’ll check out the adult’s only retreat.

That’s better. Who would’ve thought Princess needs an adults only area? I get it now.

I had to tell this guy Baja three times. For the most part saying the full deck name eliminates the b, d, e all sounding the same issue…but not this time. Baja xxx. Baja? Yes Baja xxx. Baja? Yes, Baja xxx.

I headed up to Crooner’s to see my favorite bartenders on the ship.

Close up magic with Octavio Belli in Princess Live. This is a stupid venue. It was packed 10 minutes before the show. The CD said she picked this location because of the cameras for close up magic. They don’t have cameras in the larger venues? We saw the piano playing on the big screen in the main lounge last night.

This venue is too small for anything other than a Haiti hurricane recovery lecture.

The steward was by my room while I was out.

Here is a current look from my balcony.

I’m going to take some beers from my stash because I’m getting low on drinks and if time permits I may want to have a few with my Crooner’s friends later.

Basketball fans rejoice!

Nevermind. I do appreciate Carnival having the ESPN channels after this Sport24 on NCL and Princess.

I am at Alfredo’s for a late lunch.

Here is the menu.

Antipasto is very good.

I have heard the calzone is good so I’m trying it.

This is my favorite lunch this week.

That’s the same sauce from Carnival’s Bitter n Blanc which is my second favorite Carnival dessert after the Grand Marnier soufflé.

And a Corona from the stash. 15 for the day but leaves two for me at the bar.

The light is a ship. I think a Carnival Ship.

That’s the show I’m going to miss. No way there’s enough room in here. This is Princess Live again.

I’m going to comedy in the Vista Lounge.

Wayne Cotter

My luggage tags for debarkation are here.

I messed up by waiting too long for lunch. Tonight is steak and lobster night and I’m not going to be able to eat it.

The assistant waiter recommends the round bread. It’s pretty good.

I wasn’t starving after that big lunch. But tortellini sounded good. So I just ordered the wedge salad and tortellini. Oleg was trying to get me to order the surf and turf on top of that. There’s no way. Not tonight.

I got the Chicago seat in the main lounge.

They charged me a cover charge for Alfredo’s.

This show is really good. The singers are top notch. The girl they called their “guest soprano” was opera quality.

I’m off to bed. Good night!
