Summer Jubilee: Embarkation

This morning I am boarding Carnival Jubilee in Galveston. I am leaving the Hilton Garden Inn in Webster which is about a 35-minute drive to the Discount Cruise Parking lot.

At 10:25 I’m parked and our shuttle is here loading luggage.

I am on the shuttle at 10:30.

This is the first time they haven’t let me drop my own bag in Galveston. I had to give it to a porter right outside the door.

At 10:50 I have dropped off my bags and I’m in line. I am in the priority line. To the right of me is an early/late arrival line. To the right of that is an on time arrival line.

I am in the building at 10:51.

I am checked in, through security, and heading upstairs to the boarding area at 11:02.

They were boarding zones A1-A5 when I got up here. I’m A3. Just before I got on the ship at 11:07 they upped it to zones A1-A8.

I am boarding at 11:08.

I went to the aft elevators where nobody was waiting and took them up to lido deck.

I’m on lido deck at 11:15.
