Historic Philipsburg By Trolley Train

on
October 2, 2026

I booked the Historic Philipsburg By Trolley Train through Norwegian for $8.10 after my $50 Free at Sea discount and my 10% Latitudes discount.

I found my meeting spot on the pier.

They gave us wristbands which were helpful because random people thought our trolley was free transportation and would try to get on at our stops.

This is our trolley. There are two trolleys here next to each other. I believe the other one is an electric trolley tour.

This is the Freedom Fighter roundabout.

The Government House

Salt Pickers

This is the market.

Backstreet is the place to go for clothing shopping.

This is a playschool.

Through the alley we can see Great Bay.

Walter Plantz Square

The courthouse was originally the house of the founder, John Philipsburg.

We have 30 minutes of free time here so I’m going to check out the boardwalk.

I might win a race I didn’t even know I was in.

It looks like rain is coming so I’m heading back to the train.

I didn’t make it but I did manage to get under an umbrella at a bar.

It was just a quick shower.

This is the Catholic church.

Our next stop is Amsterdam Cheese & Liquor store.

They give out free samples in the back on the left.

I didn’t want to buy any cheese so I was one of the first back on the trolley.

This used to be a library.

Sundial High School

We saw some goats on the mountain just outside of the port.

That completed the tour. I thought this tour was fine for the $8 I paid for it. I don’t think I would pay the full price of $60 for this tour though. You would be better off just taking the water shuttle and walking around on your own.
