NOLA Escape: Cozumel
Go0d morning! We are in Cozumel today. The gangway opened at 7am. It closed at 7:15 for the arrival of another ship. Then it re-opened at 7:45. I stayed in bed until 8:30 then got up to make it to breakfast. Here is today’s Freestyle Daily.
They were replaying the How to Run a Floating Hotel Q&A on the TV while I was getting ready.
I don’t think we’re at the downtown port. That’s Carnival Valor. I think we’re at Puerta Maya.

That’s a surprise. I don’t know if I can recall ever seeing a Norwegian ship at Puerta Maya but here we are.
Here’s a quick tour of Carnival Valor. This is their adults only serenity area with the blue-green chairs. not the dark blue chairs.

I’m heading off the ship for a bit. I’m just going to walk around the port then get back on the ship.
They had a Mayan fire ceremony in the port so I watched that before returning to the ship.
in the elevators they have the screens telling you about the gangway and back on board time.
On the room tv they had the Welcome Aboard show which I missed.
I wasn’t the only one who missed it.
They did that again which is cool.
Mean girls is on in the atrium.
I went to O’Sheehans for lunch. I got pretzel bites and buffalo wings.
Food trivia is next. I think I’ll head to Sugarcane.
I remember this bathroom. You can lean against that pole there.
The casino bar would be a nice place to watch sports if they put it on those big screens.
I guess they open later on port days.
I got a mudslide at Spice.
In case anyone was wondering what kind of chocolate syrup they use. I caught them refilling their bottles.

The chef came out and talked to all of the tables.
After dinner I stopped by the pour house for their show.
Of course now that there is a real game on they don’t have it on these big screens.
I stopped by District Brewhouse to grab a couple beers for the show. They have a piano player in there now and dueling pianos in the comedy club.
Cruise Director Jack is hosting The Not So Newly Wed game. It’s basically The Love and Marriage show for Carnival people.
They did a promo for tomorrow’s bye week party.
These are the winners.
They had a little dance party after the show. I’m heading to the theater for comedy.
The legroom in this theater is better than the other Norwegian theaters I’ve been in.
