NOLA Escape: Day 1

I just boarded Norwegian Escape in New Orleans. Since I boarded late, my room was ready immediately. I did check in at my muster station first. They have the weird lighting going on in my studio room. Let’s take a long around.

Someone left me some hangers.

This is the studio lounge. I believe it’s identical to Encore.

They have college football on the big screen on lido deck.

I found my favorite Norwegian bar.

And this is my favorite Norwegian drink: Jalapeno Cucumber Mojito 

Another one of my favorites at this bar is Coco Loco.

After that I headed back up on lido deck for sail away.

This looks refreshing!

I grabbed a couple Modelos for sail away.

I believe this is The Manhattan Room.

I grabbed a dirty martini.

Hockey with audio in on both Lido screens now. I don’t know how that plays down here on Saturday during football season. NCL is a slave to Sport 24. Which I know going in which is why I’m doing this on the Saints bye week. I’ll just go with the flow tomorrow.

In the Spice H2O Adults Only area they’re about to show the movie Conclave.

I grabbed another dirty martini.

I headed down to my room to find my suitcase has been delivered. 

After getting some of the essentials unpacked I headed back down to Sugarcane which is now packed!

I headed to The Manhattan Room for dinner.

Up above the stage you can see where I took the picture from earlier.

I got a nice window seat in the back of the ship but you can’t see much as dark as it is.

Deal or No Deal is going on in the atrium.

I got a standing spot near the door for the show at Syd Norman’s Pour House.  

This was during the time when Norwegian had temporarily stopped leaving the Freestyle Daily in the rooms. At the time they had a stack of them at Guest Services in the atrium.

We have a piano player in the atrium.

I headed to the District Brewhouse. I’m having them make me a fruity pebbles which is half Abita Strawberry and Half Abita Purple Haze.

It looks like Valor and Liberty are about to pass on the river. I’m going to try to be outside when we pass Liberty.

Valor and Liberty have now passed.

I grabbed two Shiners to go. Let’s take a walk.

They have dueling pianos in Headliners.

They have the movie Marvels on in the atrium.

It looks like it’s time to go see Liberty. I grabbed two more Shiners on my way up.

Back in the room I had to cover up some lights on the AC to sleep. It’s been a long day. I’m off to bed. Tomorrow is a sea day.
