Carnival Panorama Tour – Part 3 (Decks 6-9)

on
September 7, 2020

We are continuing with our tour of Carnival Panorama with decks 6-9. If you missed the last installment which covered the promenade deck, you can view it here: Carnival Panorama Tour – Part 2 (Deck 5).

Deck 6

The majority of deck 6 is guest cabins. The area by the forward elevators is the one exception. If you wonder what happened to the empty space where you could look down into the atrium from decks 6-10, this is it. I refer to this space as the kid containment area. On deck 6 you have The Warehouse Arcade.

Across from The Warehouse Arcade in the stairwell that goes up to deck 7 is the Circle C (12-14) and O2 (15-17) Teen clubs.

Deck 7

Directly above the arcade on deck 7 you will find the Sky Zone indoor trampoline park. This is the space where you would find the multi-plex on Vista and Horizon. The Sky Zone space encompasses decks 7 and 8 in this area.

From what I could see from the door, they appear to have basketball hoops and rock walls you can climb.

Just to the right of the Sky Zone entrance is a stairwell that takes you down into The Warehouse Arcade.

All the way at the front of the ship on decks 6, 7, 9, and 10 are what they call “secret decks.” Here are some pictures from this area on decks 6-7.

These first two are actually the same area on deck 5.

This is looking up at the window on the bridge that allows them to see how close they are to the dock.

Decks 6-7 are the best decks to get pictures of the bridge. These “secret decks” are connected by an outdoor staircase.

Deck 9

The “secret deck” on deck 9 is one of my favorite spots on the ship. This is directly above the bridge so you can go out on the wings and take pictures of the side of the ship.

This is the area I shot my Long Beach arrival video from.

Since my cabin was on deck 9, we’ll cover it here.

This is room 9262 which is an interior forward cabin on the port side. It’s at the very beginning of the hallway by the elevator lobby so it’s close to the elevator, just one flight of stairs from lido, and it’s just steps from one of the self-service laundry rooms.

This room has the two twin beds that can be put together to make a king, which is how I requested it.

This television has outstanding ship cams which is what I left it on most of the time.

Here is a look at the various ship cams.

You can toggle between Ship Cams, On Demand, and Television.

This is a look at the television lineup. You can see why I left it on the ship cams.

I believe they had around 300 on demand movies which ranged from free to $5.

This room requires a card be in the slot for the lights to stay on. Some ships have a plain white card in there so you don’t have to mess with it. This one didn’t so I used a gift card.

One thing I dislike about the Vista class is this glow in the dark sign which reminds you that your life vest is under the bed.

I like the room to be dark so I cover it up with black duct tape and remove it at the end of the cruise.

As I mentioned there was no room on one side of me. It’s a crew hallway instead. The first night I believe I heard the crew elevator running through the night. After the first night I didn’t hear it again.

I actually like this location because my bathroom is right on the other side of this wall so I didn’t have to worry about people in another room being disrupted by me running the shower early in the morning or listening to the news or music while in the shower.

This is a peek down that crew hallway. My room would be on the other side of the left wall.

One of the nice things about my room location is it’s close to one of the self service laundry rooms. This is maybe 20 steps from my room. I didn’t use it because I have free laundry as a platinum cruiser, but I have used it in the past and being close to it is very nice.
