Epic: Tortola

Good Morning. Today we are in Tortola, BVI. Last time I did an island tour. This time I’m going to a different island to see the Baths at Virgin Gorda.

I don’t have time for a real breakfast so I grabbed two double espressos, water, and a pastry from the studio lounge.

Whatever they had on the other plate must have been good.

I’m leaving a note for my steward. This closet door has been jammed since I moved in. That keeps me from opening that top compartment where I like to keep all of my toiletries.

For the beach I’m using the bag I got from the store in San Juan.

Here is today’s Freestyle Daily.

We have a ship coming in so I got off before they closed the gangway.

It’s MSC Virtuosa coming in.

We also have a Marella ship in port.

They won’t let me stick around to watch the ship dock. They’re kicking me off of the pier.

I’m pretty sure the color of that sign has changed since the last time I was here.

That was the color. They didn’t repaint the back of it.

If you want your picture with the sign, wait until the afternoon. In the morning people are always standing and sitting by it. In the afternoon you can get a clean shot.

Of course the steward is cleaning my room now. My shower will have to wait. I went down to the lounge, filled up my Brita, came back, asked if I could drop off my bag. Then I went to grab some food.

After eating I stopped back by the room to shower and change.

They fixed my closet door. Clearly they changed the direction it tells you to slide the door.

This is the solo host. The solo meetup is in here at 5:30 most days.

There are two guys here who have been on this ship for six weeks. They’re staying for another month. They retired in Minnesota and just do this for 10 weeks every winter.

After that meeting everyone who wanted to went to dinner at Taste with the hosts. It was almost everyone. Five of us stayed back.

I don’t go to those meetings. I was just here for the bar. But it’s a good program for people who are interested.

I brought down my cooler and Jadyn filled it up since he was dumping his ice.

I grabbed a couple beers from O’Sheehans to take to the comedy show.
