Hawaiian Radiance: Day 4

Good morning! I got eight hours of sleep. I really needed it. The wall is still making a constant noise. I either got used to it or was too tired for it to matter last night. I know this is an old ship but those are not old walls. This area used to be the comedy club. These walls are less than five years old. Maybe it’s the vibration from the engine. I can feel that as well. I’m used to staying in the front of ships.

As for why the pool was drained yesterday, it looks like it all splashed out on its own. I saw a video posted of it roped off, almost empty, and water still splashing out of it.

I got a laundry bag ready this morning. I’m diamond this cruise so I have unlimited laundry.

The coffee line is about 20 deep at 7:40 this morning. The alternative doesn’t open until 8

The TV channels still have that satellite message on them. On demand works. I’ve been streaming YouTube on the premium WiFi this morning with no problem.

It was a 15-minute wait for coffee.

Aloha to the Aloha sign. I’m guessing they’re going to put the flag up. It seems like they do that on the day of the military gathering now.

They have a two deck serenity here. This is deck 12 with the bar and hot tub.

Then deck 14 (really 13) with beds and loungers. Oddly it’s right by the water slide entrance.

I requested a breakfast table back when I was in the coffee line.

It’s odd watching the Mets at breakfast.

The morning nature walk is going on.

The pool is back in service.

The current water depth is 15,700 feet. I don’t care how deep it is as long as we stay on top.

Creativity at Sea has something going on in the Red Frog Pub.

They’re making key chains.

They have a Hawaiian language class in the Limelight Lounge.

Vera from alchemy is working the casino bar.

She hooked me up with extra olives in my bloody mary. I got her last drink. She has to go work the coffee shop now.

There is a cooking demo in the Limelight Lounge now.

The daily hula lessons are going on in the Red Frog Pub.

I finally was able to get to the t-shirts. It’s all Mexico stuff.

There’s a Mrs. Roper group at the atrium bar.

I got a coconut kiss at the Serenity bar.

Then I headed to the Alchemy for martinis.

At the alchemy I am next to that guy from a the other day who had a real problem with me cruising solo. He’s still at it. “You’ve got good hair. You probably make good money. I don’t get it.”

I’m going with something different from Marina. It’s a coconut rum drink.

Studio VIP is in the main theater. I guess we’re doing the concert version again. My guess is this is how they stretch entertainment for two weeks. Give us the concert version of a show this week and the full version next week.

This kid just busted it on the lido cam. He got off of the water slide and tried to jump down all of the steps at once. He didn’t make it.

There’s a lady who works here that looks like a 10 year old boy. She looks like Eddie Munster. Maybe 4 foot tall and 50lbs. I have to do a double take every time I see her. She was working with like a 6-foot mop a minute ago.

This is a pineapple drink from Marina.

One of those has reece’s in it. The other has peppermint patty.

Nicola is out another night but he’s expected back tomorrow. This is a dirty martini from Vera.

I waited a long time for dessert and this is not what I ordered. I ordered pina colada panna cotta but I think I got chocolate decadence instead.

I skipped out on dessert and stepped outside to see the sunset.

Then I headed down to the comedy club for Chris Strait. On the way in Drew Marks was coming out to talk to the people that are already in line for his show.

After the show I got in line for Drew Marks.

For Drew Marks last adult show he gives bad advice. He tells you this ahead of time and allows people to submit questions. I don’t know if he does this every time or not but he had the other two comedians come up and they all have bad advice for each question.

Next up is Sebastian’s adult show.

The sign person was sitting in their normal spot next to the stage and Sebastian just told them to get on the stage.

Oh, that was for the same reason I like to watch them at the adult game show. I thought it was for honorable reasons…He likes to watch how they sign certain words and make them do it over and over.
