Hawaiian Radiance: Honolulu
Good morning! Today is a big day in Honolulu. I’m going to Pearl Harbor, Punchbowl, downtown, Diamond Head, and a Luau on Waikiki.

This is the morning view from deck 10.

This is the morning view from deck 3. I’m just waiting for the coffee shop to open on deck 4.

That’s Diamond Head crater.

It’s coffee time. For the first time this cruise the end of the line is still inside the coffee shop!

I guess Big Chicken isn’t open for breakfast on port days. Hub says it opened at 7 but it’s 8am now and there’s no activity. I’m going to request a table in the dining room.

The Hub said it would be a 20-minute wait for a table but it was only 10.

It’s always awkward with the people standing in front of the dining room. I always ask if they already have a table. They usually don’t. So then they think I don’t know how it works and want to tell me. “I know how to use it they did this so people wouldn’t line up in front of the dining room.”

We’re passing Norwegian’s Pride of America.

The people next to me ordering. The woman orders. Then the guy says “I want what she’s having except…” and then he changes half of the order. French toast instead of pancakes. No grits. Omelet instead of eggs. Then the waiter pointed out that eggs are in an omelet and it got a little heated.

Avocado toast no egg

I went back to my room and it had been serviced already.

We have docked right next to Aloha Tower.

That’s Pride of America at a different port.

I’m heading off of the ship right away. That’s cruise director Kieren. This is his first contract as a cruise director.

You exit the port right by those buses.

My tour is the white van down there.

For full coverage of the tour please check out Pearl Harbor and City Tour. I’m going to skip ahead.
That’s another transportation option similar to a Hop On Hop Off bus. For tickets and information visit Waikiki Trolley.

I am going to get back on the ship to shower, change clothes, and grab lunch before heading to Diamond Head.

This is a good view of Aloha Tower and Pride of America.

I got a Guy’s Burger and brought it back to the room.

I showered, changed, and ate and I’m heading back out to Diamond Head.

It hasn’t started raining yet but it looks like it may.

I ordered a Lyft to Diamond Head.

For full coverage please check out Diamond Head State Monument. I’m going to skip ahead now.
On my way out of the crater I ordered a wait and save Lyft to the Royal Hawaiian on Waikiki.

For full coverage please check out Waikiki Luau & Rock-A-Hula. I’m going to skip ahead to 9pm after the show.

After the show I decided to walk around a bit and see if I can get a look at the beach before returning to the ship.

I like how the streets are lit with torches at night.

That’s Diamond Head.

It’s getting late so I ordered a Lyft back to the ship.

We are less than an hour before back on board so the line is pretty bad.

The Latin duo is in the Pig & Anchor.

I stepped over to the Alchemy for a dirty martini.

Or two…

Then I headed to the theater for the comedy showcase.

The theater dirty martinis aren’t as good as the Alchemy but this will have to do.

They have a dive-in movie on lido deck.

And we are sailing away from Honolulu.
