Mets and Marlins at Citi Field

I took the 7 train from Hudson Yards to Mets-Willets Point to get to the Mets-Marlins Sunday afternoon game.

This is my seat for today. I paid $136 after taxes and fees for this ticket.

I got here right when the gates opened so we have time to walk around a bit. There are areas of the stadium I haven’t been to yet.

I have not been to the outfield area at all so I want to check out the views and see what kind of concessions they have back there.

The U.S. Open is going on over there. They take the same subway so it can be extra crowded if people are leaving there at the same time this game ends.

This is something I haven’t seen on the other side.

I’m going to try the Verrazano egg roll.

It’s just okay. I probably won’t get it again.

I’m back at my seat. Mr. Met is in action.

I think they’re using kids drawings for the scoreboard pictures today.

The Mets top pitching prospect Jonah Tong is pitching today.

Tong got the hook.

I’m going with a pastrami sandwich now.

Much better than the egg roll.

I don’t really know this guy. I think his name is Blimpie. They were giving out his glasses to kids today.

The game is over. The Mets lost. They’re 0-3 in home games I’ve attended the past four years. They’re 2-1 in road games I’ve attended in the same timeframe.

This is the route back to the hotel.
