New England Getaway: Debarkation

on
July 24, 2026

Good morning from Pier 88 in Manhattan!

I went upstairs to the buffet to grab juice and ice for breakfast drinks. I’m going to skip breakfast this morning and have a bagel in town.

This is the sign they have in us ports. It was 7%
in Boston.  No sign in Maine.

I had to make another trip upstairs because they even turned the coffee machine off in the lounge. They didn’t have food on Encore or Prima the last morning but I could get coffee.

Debarkation began with self assist at 7:10.

Yellow and purple tags were called at 7:35.

I’m checking out of my room five minutes early.

At 7:55 they called orange tags.

The line for the elevator is crazy. I’m taking the stairs with my suitcase.

We are debarking on deck 7.

They had a video of all of the teams waiving bye.

I am outside at 8:08am.

They have the stairs blocked off so you had to take the escalator. They do have another line for an elevator.

I was out of the port at 8:23am.

My Lyft was supposed to be here 15 minutes ago. It’s shown him sitting down the street for 10 minutes and there’s no traffic. I could’ve walked to the hotel by now.

I canceled and ordered another.

I checked in for my flight tomorrow. It looks like a full flight except for one first class seat.

Next time we’ll cover my day in New York which includes a Mets game and a Broadway show.
